VIC:Police shooting car found near Melbourne
MELBOURNE, Aug 31 AAP - An allegedly stolen car involved in a police shooting in Melbourne's
north has been found.
A tip-off from the public led police to the car in Craigieburn on the city's outskirts
about 6.30pm (AEST) on Tuesday and they are still looking for 18-year-old Joshua Naggs
over the incident.
Nearly eight hours earlier, two plain-clothes officers had approached the car parked
in Roxburgh Park to question the driver.
One officer smashed the driver's side window to grab the man as he revved the engine.
The offender then drove at the second officer, who fired one shot.
Police say the offender performed a U-turn and drove at the unmanned and unmarked police
car before veering off.
After a short pursuit, police abandoned the chase for safety reasons.
