Vic: Charges over convenience store armed robbery

MELBOURNE, April 11 AAP - Police have charged two men after an alleged armed robbery
at a Melbourne convenience store overnight.

A 19-year-old man from Preston and a 26-year-old man of no fixed address have been
charged with armed robbery and car theft, police said.

Police allege the pair entered the 7-Eleven store at the corner of Orrong Road and
High Street, Prahran armed with a syringe before stealing a cash register.

The men will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court later today, police said.
